In 1972, a crack lettings unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. This team promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Bristol underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as letting agents of fortune. If you have a property to let, or if you are looking for your dream home, ....maybe you can hire The Letting Game Team.
Jack set up The Letting Game in 2009 and continues to push the company in a positive direction today. Jack was bought up within a property family and went to school here in Bristol. After graduating from University he had a successful two year spell in Recruitment before the 2008 recession hit the industry and the company he worked for hard. Faced with redundancy he decided to set up The Letting Game – a risk he is now very happy to have taken.
Three things you didn’t know about Jack:
Ben joined us in 2012 as an apprentice and now manages our Sales and Relocation department. He has been integral to the progress of The Relocation Game - the arm of our company that focuses on sourcing Corporate and Relocation for our landlord clients. He has recently started working closely with Maya after welcoming her to the sales and relocation department of the business.
Some things about Ben:
Samantha joined The Letting Game with four years experience in the Bristol letting industry. She brings knowledge and experience to the team and boasts an NFOPP technical award in lettings and property management, something she is now helping the other members of the team work towards achieving. Born and raised in Bristol, she also runs a dance teaching franchise with her partner.
Claire has worked with Jack for five years now however only the past 3 years she been involved with The Letting Game. Nothing gets past Claire and this has made her a fantastic young bookkeeper, a great grounding for her as she is now starting to learn accountancy skills too. She now manages all clients’ accounts and client rent payments.
Some facts about Claire:
Maya joined the company early 2014 and now takes an active role with both landlords and tenants. She is often out and about at viewings and meetings as well as supporting the smooth running or our customer service delivery team. Having travelled most of the world, she is always planning her next adventure. She has lived in Bristol most of her life - she knows the City as well as anyone.
Even though she is called Lucy on her birth certificate, she has been named ‘Bean’ since before she was born and has been brought up being called this by everyone from my family and friends to my teachers and colleagues. We decided to mix it up and call her Heinz, needless to say all our German accents have improved since she started with us. She brings office and administration experience with her to the role, from two previous roles within well-known Bristol companies. For The Letting Game she is in charge of everything that happens between an offer being accepted on a property, right up until move in day.
After moving to Bristol from rural Herefordshire and completing a degree in Property Investment and Management at UWE in 2015, Harry wanted to stay in Bristol and develop a career in property. First having a stint as a property manager for a local competitor, he is now heading up our student department and is doing a great job.
Sandra was recruited to manage our rapidly growing property management department. We invested in a specialist department manager with the goal of continuously improving our service offering to our landlords. She manages a small portfolio herself, but spends the rest of her time training and managing our other property managers. Sandra has many year experience in both property management and property development.
Three interesting Sandra facts:
Anna joined the Letting Game in January 2017, after gaining a year’s experience in Property Management at one of our local competitors. Bristol through and through, she loves the area and intends to work and live here all her life. She has worked in lots of different customer service roles, however she feels she thrives in this fast paced property management position.
Jamie has worked in lettings for a few years now, starting off in his home town of Watford, before moving to a local Bristol agency when him and his wife moved to Weston-Super-Mare. He joined us after wishing to embark on a new challenge with an independent letting agency, after growing frustrated with the corporate service mentality. He is now responsible for the majority of our lets!
So what about Jamie:
Bristol born & bred, Laura knows the city like the back of her hand. She joined us after working for two other Bristol Letting Agents since she left school, and is now an integral part of our Property Management team. We are pleased to have her.
She’s a TV show fanatic, and claims to have watched all the great box sets! Laura tap danced for 13 years but I had to quit because she damaged a ligament in her leg. Laura hopes to relearn Danish again, as she spoke quite a bit of it when she was younger due to having Danish friends.
Bennie has been a part time member of the team since the offset. He comes in every week, often unannounced. He works in his own way and does things in his own time, although he has been known to show outstanding commitment to the cause, still being in the office the following morning when everyone else is just getting in. He has an opinion on most things, often being heard voicing it to members of team at less than convenient times. The office wouldn't be the same without him.
