Professional Bodies
ARLA
The Letting Game are a proud member of The Association of Residential Letting Agents. Being one of only a few agents in Bristol to be members, the association requires us to abide by certain codes and conducts. ARLA membership ensures: • We have client money protection insurance, meaning landlords / tenants rent and deposit money is insured, in the unlikely event of the company liquidating. • The company is covered by £150,000 professional indemnity insurance as a necessity. • We have at least one fully trained ARLA member of staff in each office. • The company has to produce an annual accountants report, showing compliance with NFoPP Regulation, including dedicated client money accounts. We’ve all heard negative stories. Working with an agent who is a member of ARLA, offers you peace of mind and guarantee’s you’re dealing with a professional company.
The Property Ombudsman
Member agents must follow the The Property Ombudsman Letting Code of Practice. This sets out the framework within which member agents must operate and the standards of service they must provide for both tenants and landlords. The Code is compulsory and is rigorously applied in complaints handling.
